We Specialise

Futureboard HR only recruits senior HR professionals. We focus on sourcing commercially-minded HR professionals of all disciplines, and search for candidates with the appetite to position HR as a truly valued, strategic function. Historically HR professionals have seldom been promoted to the boards of many organisations. Futureboard HR believes that this needs to change, and we drive this agenda by sourcing talent that can make a demonstrable, measurable difference in their new roles. We don’t just look for traditional HR skills: candidates who can demonstrate a wider skillset or knowledge base can be at a real advantage, such as those with experience in digital media, internal communications, management consultancy, organisational change and employee engagement.

We are International

We have always recruited internationally, but have a particular focus on the UK and North American markets, sourcing candidates from both active and passive networks. Futureboard HR continually invests in both these networks by engaging with individuals via online communities but also by meeting high-calibre individuals on a 1:1 basis to discuss their careers and aspirations. We believe that senior professionals prefer personal conversations and consider individual contact our priority. We are opening our first international office in New York in August 2015.

Futureboard HR encourages networking and knowledge sharing with passive candidates through invitations to our regular Professional Insight events, which highlight current and future challenges in HR. Our goal is to inspire creative thinking, with talks from professionals from within and outside the profession.

  • Talent Pool Mapping

    Prior to a full recruitment search process, our clients often engage us to conduct a mapping exercise of the relevant talent pool in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the size of the market and therefore the likely challenges and opportunities. This research influences the ways in which we approach the search and helps to ensure that clear expectations are set at the outset of the process.

  • Candidate Referencing

    We conduct referencing and background checking either as part of a recruitment process, or as a stand-alone service. Futureboard HR can explore a candidate's suitability for a role in a discreet, confidential and timely way, to give you peace of mind.

  • HR Consultancy

    We provide HR support remotely and on-site for small/medium sized businesses that are experiencing growth or going through change. Whether you need help with a new handbook, advice with ad-hoc queries or legislation changes or someone to visit you on-site to tackle a more complex issue, we have the expertise and people skills to make a difference to your business.

  • Candidate Assessment

    Hiring external talent is a significant investment, and you need to know that you are making the right decision. We can provide rigour to the decision making process by conducting in-depth candidate assessment in the process. This could include in-depth interviews, personality questionnaires, ability testing, behavioural exercises and executive-level assessment centres. We have experience of doing this with both internal and external candidates.

  • Candidate Coaching

    We provide coaching to individuals when they are considering a career change, perhaps in an outplacement situation, or simply when they are seeking a new role. Initially, our coaches clarify objectives and discuss the desired outcome of the coaching relationship. Our coaches are all experienced business professionals, with senior-level credibility. They all have formal coaching qualifications, and we match each coaching candidate to the most appropriate coach. Confidentiality is of course assured.
